About Royal dragon

Royal dragon is a chinese restaurant in Concord, North Carolina. It is listed at 3685 Concord Pkwy S, Concord, NC 28027, which places it among the local businesses of Concord that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.

Hours are published for 6 days a week. On most of those days it is open 11 am–9:30 pm. Note that it does not open on Monday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Royal dragon at (704) 262-9552; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is royaldragonsouthconcord.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Here is the typical chinese family restaurant, with a broad array of delicious dishes and a nice lady offering great service at competitive prices. You can eat here, or place an order and pick up. They can enhance the place with some wall decoration and a trash can inside the tables area.

I recently relocated nearby and hunted for decent Chinese takeout, picking Royal Dragon just for its convenient location—and it turned out to be a total letdown no amount of proximity can fix. The food arrived lukewarm, bland and rushed together with zero care, while the staff moved in a hurry just to rush you out the door with zero genuine politeness. It shocks me this spot even holds any star rating at all; it’s easily a 2-star operation at best, and I’m stunned anyone would recommend it to hesitant first-timers. Don’t let the convenient address fool you if you’re new to the neighborhood like I was—every single dish we ordered was under-seasoned, sloppily prepared and totally forgettable. There are far better local Chinese restaurants worth your money, and I won’t be coming back here for another disappointing meal.

This spot was once decent, but it’s completely fallen apart and now it’s borderline inedible garbage. I ordered Triple Delight tonight and the shrimp inside reeked and tasted straight-up moldy—totally revolting, I almost threw up immediately. The sauce coating everything had a strange grainy, gritty texture like it was full of old stale seasoning or dirt. On top of that, their Lo Mein was weirdly cloyingly sweet, nothing like authentic lo mein at all; that sickly sweet flavor ruined the whole noodle dish and it was absolutely terrible. The only item out of my entire order that wasn’t disgusting was the plain fried rice, and that’s such a low bar to clear. The kitchen’s food quality and freshness have tanked hard, there’s zero quality control over seafood or sauces. Save yourself the nausea and skip this restaurant entirely.

Amazing food! We’ll definitely be back soon. We had spring rolls, crab Rangoon, mei fun house special and general tso’s chicken 🩷 the plates where big and we brought leftovers home

Very quick ordering, very quick preparing, and very quick consumption from me 😂. Nothing outstanding here just simple and cheap, just how I like it. $10 and some change for General Tso’s and a pork egg roll, dinner combo is a good value. I’ll be back.
